The Year 6 course is specifically aimed at children taking exams for highly selective independent schools.
The course includes interview practice and a mock interview with detailed feedback; creative writing teaching and feedback and a range of online and paper practice tests to prepare your child for the independent school entrance exams.

Masterclass Format
Our 11+ Interview Masterclass is delivered in an online small-group setting to keep it interactive and supportive. Students take part in a focused three-hour session that blends teaching inputs with guided practice, discussion, and individual reflection.
This masterclass helps students build the confidence, communication skills and self-awareness needed to succeed in independent school interviews.
What the session covers
Across a focused three hour session, students explore common interview themes, practise forming and expressing opinions, and learn how to take part in polite, thoughtful discussion. They also gain insight into what interviewers are looking for and how to present themselves authentically.
How students learn
Through guided activities, practical exercises and model responses, students develop stronger interview techniques and a clearer understanding of how to speak with confidence. They have time to reflect on their strengths, interests and motivations, all of which are essential in presenting themselves effectively.
Outcomes
By the end of the masterclass, students feel more prepared and more confident, with the skills needed to showcase their true potential.
Optional mock interview
After the session, families may book an optional mock interview, offering a realistic interview experience and personalised feedback.

The masterclass is aimed for students who expect to sit Stage Two exams for Tiffin School, The Tiffin Girls’ School, or the Sutton grammar schools: Nonsuch, Wallington High School, Wallington County Grammar, Wilson’s School and Sutton Grammar School.
Also relevant for The Henrietta Barnett School.
Masterclass Format
The complete masterclass will be taught over two full days; one focussing on Tiffin/Sutton English and one on Tiffin/Sutton maths. Each day is designed to equip students with the skills and strategies needed to excel in the English and maths components of the Stage 2 grammar school exams respectively.
Each session will cover the same key topics for the relevant subject, however these will include different activities and assessments, so students are able to take multiple masterclasses on different dates without repeating tasks.
By the end of each day, students will have gained deeper understanding of the key elements required for success in the Stage 2 grammar school exams and will leave with a personalised set of strategies to continue their preparation.
English
The comprehensive English masterclass will include:
- How to excel at creative and persuasive writing
- Advanced Comprehension practice
- Preparation for analysing fiction and non-fiction texts
- Immediate bespoke feedback from an expert tutor
Maths
The Maths masterclass will include:
- Review of essential mathematical concepts with an expert tutor
